I was able to beat Dinos cranking my NO3 up to 60-75ppm but now I have Cyano all over my sandbed. I was hoping to do a treatment then a 20% waterchange but Im hesitant to get another round of Dinos.

I believe I read some where it is mostly likely potassium permanganate or something similar, which is a strong oxidizing agent, similar to hydrogen peroxide but has a much higher affinity to grab electrons from things.
