WebJun 22, 2012 · The 241 stock heads really choke the LS1. Remember the LS1 is rated 350 hp at the crank while the LS6 was 405 hp. This is mainly due to 243 heads and LS6 cam (since we already have the LS6 intake manifold). I agree, if you are going to all the work, do it up right. But, I also know about tight budgets.
